We arrived at the Thousand Trails Natchez Trace Park on 09/23/09 and found a great site with full hook up. After we got all set up Kathy informed me that only half of the electric was working. I tried everything but could not find the problem, I even had the park maint. man make sure that the parks electric was working properly.

Since it was getting late we just made do for the night and when we got up the next morning we moved to a different site. We still had the same problem so I asked other Rvers if they knew what the problem could be. Vic said he had a meter and came right over to help us. Within a few minutes we heard Kathy ( Yelling ) as we were testing my 50 amp cable outside. So we located the problem, the end on our 50 amp cable was bad.

I got on line and found out that Camping World in Nashville,Tn. had a 50 amp replacement end for  $19.00 so we drove to Nashville,Tn. ( approx. 90 miles ) and bought it. We returned to the Rv and with Kathy's help fixed the problem.( Mrs. Rv Fixit ) We now had full electrical in the Rv,so the moral of the story is if your wife is unhappy you are unhappy, if the wife is happy you are Happier.lol

From our Rv site to the front entrance is about 2 miles so Kathy & I walk it every morning after breakfast. Along the route there are 3 little hills (lol )that we have to go up so it makes the walk a little harder. It takes us about 1 hour from start to finish. I run up the last hill just because that is how I like to finish the walk. Kathy can now do the whole walk without stopping. I am so proud of her and now I think she is proud of herself because when we weighed ourselves she  lost 5 pounds.

So on Monday as we were sitting around being lazy we heard a knock on our door and low and behold it was our Rv friends Sandy & Jimmy from Boca Raton,Fl. I knew that they were on the way but Kathy had no idea and she was so happy to see them. The reason I was not as happy to see them was because Jimmy put me to WORK.lol

On Wednesday we installed a new awning on Jimmy's Rv and it only took us about 2 hours. Instead of taking the whole awning down we removed the left end cap as you are looking at the roller and just slide the old awning off and the new one on.We did not have to mess with the tension spring at all. We needed Kathy and Sandy's help and they were glad to help us for a price.( supper at Red Lobster )They drive a hard bargain.

On Thursday Kathy and I washed the car. After we were done Sandy came over to visit and she broke our door handle.lol So I took it apart and tried to fix it with no results. I checked on line and they want $75.00 for a knew one. Well me being Mr. Cheapo, I was not going to pay that so I went back to work on trying to figure out what was wrong with it. After about 2 hours I figured out that it only needed a retention ring. So I went to Lowe's and got a retention ring for 63 cents. Now our door works and Sandy is not allowed to open our door.lol

At around 3:00 am on Friday morning the rain and wind woke me up because it was beginning to storm outside. So I got up and went outside to put the awning up, the wind was just a blowing, rain was coming down hard, I had to tie an anchor to my butt so I would not blow away, but I got the awning up with no problem and NO help.lol I went back to bed and I said to myself how did Kathy sleep thru that because she is a lighter sleeper then I am.

When she got up around 9 am I asked her if she heard me get up and she said yes without thinking. So I asked her why she did not come out and help me last night as I thought Rving was 50/50. She informed me that Rving is 50 /50 when it is nice outside.lol

On Friday Sandy,Jimmy,Kathy & I went to Nashville,Tn. to see Carrie Underwood, Terri Clark and several others playing at the Grand Ole Opry. We had a great time at the show and it was a sold out event. As we were leaving the show and going to Jimmy's car Kathy & I had to sprint to keep up with him and Sandy, they were jumping bushes, curbs and anything in there way. Hell I though Sandy and him were going to get a quickie in the back seat.lol When we caught up to them I asked them what was the hurry. Jimmy said he wanted to beat the traffic.

So after we got in the car and were driving out of the parking lot a car tried to cut us off and all of a sudden Kathy yells out Get out of the way you Dick Head. Well Jimmy, Sandy and I were stunned at her language and started cracking up with laughter. We teased her all the way home when a car even came close to us.

We were within a mile of the Rv park on the Natchez Trace parkway and all of a sudden Jimmy gets in the left hand lane and drives next to a car on his right, I ask Jimmy what is he doing and he says he is going to turn left. Sandy and I tell him we are on a 2 lane road and he is passing on a double line. He thought were we on a four lane highway. So the other car must be thinking Jimmy is Drunk,so the other car turns right which just happens to be the way we are going. Low and behold Jimmy does a quick right because he almost missed the turn and is now on the guys ass. So the guy speeds up and makes a quick left just to get away from us.

Rv friends are great to have because they show up unexpectedly and you have a great time with them. They help each other out and ask for nothing in return.

Gas is $ 2.24 a gallon.

I want to tell my Mom that I love her.

Your Rv Friends,

Rv Dude, Rv Diva & Rv Seven
