Arrived in Ko Phi Phi yesterday, and checked into Maney Resort, basic but all we needed (minus the 1 km hike up hill with our packs..) wandered around town, the island is busy and full of tourists tons of shops and restaurants. We made our way down to the beach in the afternoon but the tide was out, so unfortunately no swimming yesterday. We hung out at the beach and had a few cocktails and fruit shakes and we pleasantly surprised by fire shows that night, performers with flaming sticks, hula hoops, rings, etc.
Today we booked a half day tour on a long boat to tour the rest of the island. We saw caves, went to monkey beach (unfortunately no monkeys to be found), snorkeling, as well as a stop to beautiful Maya Bay (from The Beach)the water was crystal clear turquoise and powder white sand beaches.
Overall a nice relaxing day and we finally got some swimming and beach time in! We are finding the weather much more bearable, so much nicer with an ocean breeze.
Tomorrow we are off to Krabi on the ferry and on to Ko Phangan for a few more days of relaxing before things pick up again in Cambodia.
Internet isn't working where we're staying so must keep this short, just wanted to thank everyone for their messages, I am getting them!

Hi Meghan! I am really enjoying your blog! Stay safe! I have to hear more about the elephants when you get back-by then you will likely have met more amazing animals!
