Hello from Livingstone (very hot here)
We arrived in in the luxury of an air conditioned bus - only one passenger per seat and no livestock. Well worth the extra cost.
We are staying in Fawlty Towers - yes I'm serious. Really nice place though.
Yesterday we took a trip to Chobe national park in Botswana (another stamp in an already packed passport) to see the animals. This has been the highlight of the trip so far. In the morning we took a boat trip and saw hippos, elephant, buffalo and numerous birds. We had lunch in a very nice lodge and the in the afternoon went on a game drive and saw sable, warthog, more elephants and three lions (two lionesses and an lion). The lions had killed a baby elephant that morning and were guarding the prey until it was cool enough for them to go and eat it. We were only about 5 feet away from them but this time we were in the safety of a safari vechile. Not a bad day all in all.
Today we are going to an island camp in the Zambezi which should be good fun and then we head of to Namibia on Wednesday.
That's all for now - love to all.
Ruth and Matt
