Well, here we are at last - the first stop on our trip, beautiful Prague. Of course I got to see it 5 years ago when I went to visit my Czech friend, Martina. We arrived safely on Monday evening, in spite of the mad panic to get everyhing tied up and to station on time, although we did have to ask Gill and Alan to rush a file containing papers we'd left on the dining room table to the station at the last minute.

The flight was fine and the hotel although rather modest, is clean and friendly. We've been taking the tram into the centre of Prague to visit all the sites - very cheap and easy. Tomorrow, we hope to meet Martina as she gets back from holiday this evening. Then in the evening we're taking the sleeper train to Warsaw. So will post some news from there before we leave for St. Petersburg.
