After crashing at Camila and Kika's place (great knowing people all around town! ;) - I decided I wanted to gao to the Dubai museum to learn a bit about the enormous history of Dubai. Yes, that covers the entire last 30 years! Alright alright... a little bit more than that. But comparing the museum to the Egypt museum in Cairo or the holocaust museum in Jerusalem; a little different! Haha, it's more like a cross-over between Madame Tussaud and 'Fata Morgana' in de Efteling. Me and Camila were having an absolute blast trying to come up with the best picture possible! Ah! Votes in the comment section please! The winning picture will be printed out and given to the ones who voted for it on my return to the Netherlands! ;D

After making our way out we explored the busiest part of the Dubai, basically it should be called 'little pakistan' or 'little india'. Seriously, no one else to be found there that's not from that part of the world! They all walk down the "Souq's" (markets) with unknown missions, while the store-owners are trying to sell whatever herbs, spices, socks, flashing jesus's, clocks with baby heads rocking back and forth... crazy! We managed to squeeze through with EVERY male pakistan/indian staring at Camila's shirt - around breast-height approximately. At one point I started to laugh and looked at one of the guys who was staring and said: "OH MY GOD! IT'S A WOMAN!!!", which was received with laughter from the guys who were NOT actually looking (: haha, poor guys... I kinda wonder where all the Indian ladies are hiding in Dubai!

We took an abra (little boat) across the Dubai Creek to the other side and walked around for a bit, we met Samir who owns the villa I live in and he kindly brought us back to Camila's place where we smoked some lemon sheesha and watched the movie 'Wicker Park'.... again! The story is non-chronological and I wanted to see it a second time, really a great movie! I've always been a bit of a sucker for romantic movies - *does angel face* - ;)

Around 23:00 Doa'a picked me up and we went for a drink, which of course got me in the mood to go out AGAIN! I know, I know... I blame me being young and all... I just love dancing! So sue me! ;-) In Dubai terms: Peppermint was supposed to be 'buzzing' with the 'eclectic' people, so off we were again! These clubs are freaking stylish, but the prices... iiiii! $25 just to get in... ouch! Buttttttt, Steve Lawler was playing and this guy is awesome! The highlight of the evening, and possibly of my entire techno career was him mixing Radiohead's Street Spirit to this freaking wicked techno song. I went totally CRAZY! Best mix I have EVER heard! And I think I've heard a few! :)

After coming down from this dancing trip I was faced with a girl who was smiling at me, whom I ended up talking to after the music had vanished. She invited me to this afterparty in the hotel above peppermint; the 'Fairmont Hotel'. Surrrrrrreeee! A lot of her guy gay friends tagged along to and that's always the experience, excentrism to the top! So here I was, walking arm in arm with Lea and about 6 gay guys bouncing around us. Some pictures you can only take in your brain! The Fairmont is incredibly expensive, but these guys had a huge room with an seemingly umlimited supply of vodka/whiskey and champagne, with all the appropriate mixers. I actually only had only 1 beer the whole evening, so I glady took part in the drinking frenzy! Met so many different people, some weird, some cool, some kind and definitely some drunk. Took a taxi back from the Vermont and fell asleep around 6:00... zZzweet dreams :)

Got a vote by phone for Kissy Camel from Eliot and my own vote goes to uncommon dolphin. I just cracked up because the text under the picture said: 'a group of common dolphins' and I just couldn't imagine how an uncommon dolphin would like ;) hence the imitation ;-)
