Today we awoke to sunny sky's and calm water.  This has been our sailing day with Trilogy tours.  We departed Lahaina at 10 am to sail to the island of Lana'i.  This island is about 20 miles from Maui across a turbulent channel called the 'washing machine'.  All was calm today, however, and we were treated to a mother and child humpback whale blowing and breaching near our boat.  An amazing show.  We were surrounded by flying fish and we were served fresh cinnamon buns and pineapple juice to hold off hunger and scurvy.

Upon arrival to Lana'i we walked over to the beach and set up camp for the day.  The snorkeling was excellent and we spotted several new species of fish and a spiny lobster.  The water clarity was amazing.  Unfortunately we ran into school of jellyfish which kind of freaked Myra out even if they weren't stinging today.  The spinner dolphins were playing in the bay and these kept me entertained while Myra snoozed.  After the beach we were treated to a dinner of BBQ chicken and fried noodles and set back for Maui.  The winds were favorable so we hoisted sail and glided noiselessly across the ocean.  The crew opened the bar and served ice cream on the sail back.  An amazing day and an amazing crew that made everything perfect for us.

Upon landing we headed over to Kannapali beach for some Pupu's (appetizers) and to watch another sunset.  We took a moonlight swim in the resort pool and then poured ourselves into bed for some well earned rest.  Playing in paradise is exhausting.

I am also pleased to report that all of plumbing is working very well...(this will mean something to a select few)

I have included some our dive pictures in this blog and I will be adding a few more in coming days.
