BUKIDNON - is a landlocked province of the Philippines located in the Northern Mindanao region.[1] Its capital is Malaybalay City. The province borders, clockwise starting from the north, Misamis Oriental, Agusan del Sur, Davao del Norte, Cotabato, Lanao del Sur, and Lanao del Norte.
Bukidnon is considered by Filipinos to be the food basket of Mindanao. It is the major producer of rice and corn in the region. Plantations in the province also produce pineapples, bananas and sugarcane.
There are no seaports in the province, although there is an airport
in Malaybalay City. The airport is currently closed. To get to Bukidnon,
one must travel by land from Cagayan de Oro City in Misamis Oriental Province.

During my stay in Davao City for almost a year, I took the opportunities to travel it's neighboring towns. I didn't hesitate even if I am not that familiar with the whole place. I am just so confident enough because I have my travel buddy then Febie. And at this time, we went to Bukidnon. To visit my cousin there, for I have an invitation from her so I opted to go there with no hesitations. To get there in Don Carlos, Bukidnon; where my cousin is living from, go to the Davao City Bus Terminal, it takes 2 hours to travel depending on the bus driver on how smoothly he drives. LOL!!! We traveled by dawn so that we will be there in Bukidnon at an early sunny morning. Good thing was, Mr. sunshine came out.
To my surprise, the town was celebrating their annual fiesta. Lots of fun, foods, many people come and go. We went to their church also. And it feels great for me to get into a church. We headed right away to their famous lake. The Lake Pinamaloy! :))

Lake Pinamaloy is a guitar-shaped freshwater lake located in the municipality of Don Carlos in the province of Bukidnon, Mindanao, Philippines. It has an estimated area of 60 hectares (0.6 kmē). The lake is feed by local run-off and it is the main source of potable water for the municipality as well as its main tourist attraction.

We took the chance of touring around the beautiful lake. Taking pictures and enjoying the view. With the help of my niece as our tour guide. Thanks to her.It was getting late in the afternoon, we decided to return home because it take us another 2 hours to travel back in Davao City by bus. Truly that was fun, and is was my travel buddy's Febie first time to travel in Bukidnon. No regrets at all! That was so tiring but worth it.
