We were the first to get to the impressive Wave rock, the long drive the previous day was well worth it. We had an amazing walk around the area and had a close encounter with 2 wild kangaroos which appeared out of nowhere right beside us, they were so cute and one of them was carrying a little joey in her pouch!!
One of the rock formations was called hippos yawn and was even older than the wave rock.
Visited the local wildlife park where they had white kangaroos which are very rare. The park was deserted. We opened a gate to enter another area of the park and we found ourselves in the middle of the male kangaroos section. Scary when they stand up as they are much taller than us! We took lots of pictures as we walked among them. Later we found that males can be very aggressive and attack people if they feel threatened, we said nothing but I don't think we were supposed to enter in that area.. I think we got lucky and caught the kangaroos on a good day as it could have been pretty nasty... Phew!!
