I rode on the world famous cable car and now I'm about to climb a steep hill to the croakiest street on Lombard st. The it's off to hire a bike and cycle 8 miles crossing the Golden Gate Bridge.......phew.
You would all be pleased to know that I haven't hit the bars in San Fran only because I am staying the roughest part of town (Tenderloin) but don't despair I have been sneaking a few vodka's into my room for that late night-cap! Why don't you move you ask, well the HI Hostel is lovely, used to be a top-nosh hotel and I have one luxury in my 4 bedded dorm, a full/complete bathroom in my room for only $23 bucks!
When visiting Alcatraz and Angel Island yesterday I got talking to a nice couple from the UK but now they live in NZ, they asked me to stay with then when visiting the North Island......hoz's that for perfect timing (arrive NZ on 19th Sep after Fiji).
Tomorrow I plan to take an 8 hour Greyhound drive down to LA then a few days later visit Las Vegas for a few days before departing on the 10th Sep to Fiji !!!
If I have given you inspiration to travel then so far I would say that the Rockies, the best, awesome place in the world. Whistler is the place I would like to return to when they hold the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Anyway I best be going, I don't want to sit in this internet cafe all day when I have that beautiful sunshine ready to burn me even more!!! lol
