Another 200+ miles finds us staying in New Braunfels, Texas, just outside San Antonio an area which is rooted in German culture from the settlers days dating back to the mid 1800's. This morning we observed the worled's largert pecan nut, corny but neverthless interesting, at least Bob thought so. Stopped at yet another fabulous Texas rest stop, a lot of hisotory about native Americal indians on display. Tonight we had dinner with Amanda a great niece, and her mom Kelly. Our nephew Don was at Junction at his hunting cabin with a friend from DC, a previous schedule conflict. In the morning before leaving Houston we did explore the Galleria with about a 1 1/2 mile walk past the 300+ shops. No, we did not buy anything.
This new blog format is a compliment to our daughter Lynn who did it all in a manner that even I could handle. As a result, you should be able to trace our trip on a map, see updated pictures and read our daily blog.
Enjoy,
Bob & Maureen.
