It's World Cup Soccer time!! Koreans are fanatical about their home team, "The Reds." Tonight, Korea played Togo and won. Watching the game in my apartment, I felt like I was in a stadium. When Korea scores, the entire block of apartments rupture in simultaneous cheer. I had to go outside and check out the scene. Same thing on the streets. There wasn't a soul sleeping at it was 12:00 a.m. I went down to this outdoor chicken restaurant where a cluster of koreans watched the game by big screen. Teenagers celebrated by walking in the middle of the street. Even this little kid waved the korean flag. I'm sure my kindergarten students were up watching the game. They are going to be so tired tomorrow!!
