Day 7 - Friday

Up bright and early, ready for the last day on the slopes. The morning was spent on the gondola side of the mountain, meeting back at the resort for lunch. The rest of the day was spent mostly together having fun on the training slopes and on the big ass jump at the bottom of one of the runs. Simon missed the morning boarding due to 'itchy' legs. He had been convinced Terry has put itchy powder in his bed and thus got no sleep. The funny thing was that he had bought brand new boots the evening before and was so eager to try them out on the final day.... Needless to say, he was fined!

We convinced Jax and Colleen to come with us for one final calm run down the mountain before calling it a day... which turned out to be a blue run. Both made it down in a winning time but much of the run was spent rigid on a hectic snowplough whilst producing language that a hardened sailor would be proud of!

Ryan decided to switch equipment with Neil, Ryan trying skiing for the first time under instruction from Stefan and sister Tanya whilst Neil attempted to recapture his boarding days.

The final bit of boarding that I did, mostly a dare from Kevin, was to attempt a 360 off a 5m high jump... I ALMOST landed it but was fined because I didn't!!! There is video footage of it on the dvd and award winning pictures of my anguish as my ass hit the snow! Also see Ryan and Kev landing some seriously sick (that's my hip board talk) jumps and Terry flat on his back!

After a quick rest and Jacuzzi it was decided that we should finish the week as we started it... at the Karaoke Bar. First came all the presentation ceremonies for those who attended courses and the fines meeting where the vodka flowed! Karaoke provided another evening of fun and laughter and almost a big punch up with Terry and Jax taking on 28 young English hoodlums! Luckily, common sense prevailed and the youngsters back off leaving us to enjoy the rest of the evening. A drunk Tanya attracted the attention of the DJ but continually hitting his legs through a little pigeon hole and then later flagged down a ski-doo to take them (Jacqui and her) back to the hotel... 10m down the run.
