Today we finally drove up the Pacific Coast Highway.  We left from Santa Monica, CA, and arrived in Carmel, CA.  Carmel is located in the Monterey Bay Peninsula, which is about two hours south of San Francisco.  Monterey Bay has a lot of charming towns as well as several well-known golf courses such as Pebble Beach.  We stopped to look at Pepperdine Univeristy in Malibu, and we also drove by Hearst Castle in Cambria.  We also pulled off the road to see elephant seals lying on the beach.  In Carmel, we walked around, went to a Thai restaurant, and went to the beach during sunset.
