Today we left Moorestown, NJ at 8:49am, Eastern Time and drove 891.4 miles to St. Louis, MO, and arrived at 10pm, Central Time. Obviously our entire day consisted of driving, so most of our pictures from today were taken from the car. It went by surprisingly fast, and we were both pleasantly surprised how easy the drive was. Shockingly, parts of Pennsylvania were probably the prettiest part of our whole drive so far. There were lots of windy roads, tunnels through mountains, and windmills to look at. The further west we've gone, the flatter the roads, and more "interesting" the people. We saw many religious signs, such as "Jesus Is Alive" and "Avoid Hell, Repent Jesus". We stopped at one rest stop in Indiana that had a whole section of cowboy hats and raccoon hats. To keep us entertained, we've been listening to our ipods, XM radio, and books on tape. Today we started "Choke" by Chuck Palahniuk, which is pretty good so far. We decided to collect a magnet from every state we stop in as a souveneir.
Tomorrow we'll be getting up at around 8am to drive to Denver! After these two long days of driving, we'll have lots of leisurely days, in which we will have much more interesting pictures. Thanks for reading :)
