So,
Went to the masaya markets, makes you really wonder why Canadian Health organizations are so anal retentive about sanitary practices. There are pieces of meat, sitting in blazing heat, with flies all over them, everywhere. You can also buy half dead chickens, vegetarians must just be pissed. Started my spanish classes as well. Fun Fact: the word Papaya in Cuba, means vagina... could get very confusing if you happen to be talking to your cuban friend about eating alot of papaya.

I have planned out the next 3 months of my life( you think I'm exagerating, but I'm not). Basically it's non-stop bussing around on the weekends to some of the crazy destinations in Nica, but I'll give more details once I have actually been there.

As far as personal life in the house goes, its pretty relaxing. On my run this morning, I saw an eight year old pulling out onto the pan central american highway in his van.. with his mom in the front seat. Guess they really take drunk driving seriously here, or they just like to get started early.

Also just a little tid bit for you all.. I did my first load of laundry today. Consisted of me scrubbing my clothes on a stone wash tablet...  Im going to smell like something fierce after six months of this, so dont say I didnt warn you.

HI Rachelle..... great to read your travel blog. Sounds like you are really in for an interesting time! :) Hopefully none of your roommates lock themselves out of their apartment after having consumed a litre of grappa! Ha Ha...anyway....we are all missing you here on Balaclava St already. Bye for now.
