Sorry for the excessive delays in entries, guys.
It's mostly due to not having any photos to contribute,
as they're on another camera which is currently on a plane
to Philly, but today I felt like writing anyway so here we are.

I feel like so much has happened since I last wrote.
I'm loving life, ridiculously so. (Though I'll admit, I had
my first near-collision with breaking point on Saturday,
but that was mostly due to an overdose of late nights,
early starts, college cram sessions & triple shot lattes.
But even as it was happening, as I was whinging and
claiming 'I'm not cut out for this', I knew it would pass.
Every emotion I have is fleeting, except, of course, my
love for this place.) We had another trip out to Indiana
to make the most of the fading summer sun, we had a
road trip to Wisconsin for a failed venture into skydiving
(thank the lovely bi-polar weather for that!), we've had a
scavenger hunt in the city (which felt very 'Amazing Race'
in that we literally stopped traffic to jump out of a taxi &
pose for a photo before diving back in & screaming at the
driver to go go go!) & I've vastly increased my vocabulary
in a variety of different languages. With a best mate who
speaks German & Spanish, & a family who speak both
Chinese & Polish, I'm learning so many new phrases (but
mostly forgetting which phrases are in which language!).

& Most importantly, HALLOWEEN IS COMING UP.
Deliriously excited. Valerie, after a misinformed World
Lit assignment, has decided to go as Frankenstein's
monster (& she's very obnoxious about the 'Frank was
the doctor, not the monster' correction so even I've had
to watch my tongue haha). We've been watching youtube
videos all week on creepy makeup, aswell as practicing
her monster walk/limp every moment we've had (which has
made for some interesting looks from bypassers!), & we
have a big shopping day planned tomorrow to start getting
her costume ready! I've opted for a less scary but far more
patriotic idea, I'm repping the Aussies & going as a koala
(though I'm fully expecting to end up looking more like a
mouse than anything, but hopefully a mini branch of Euca-
lyptus leaves to chew on will quell any misconceptions
about the subject matter). & of course, because Halloween
isn't just 'bout the costumes, we've been practicing spooky
nail art designs all night & googling ideas for Halloween
desserts (finally deciding we can't decide, so we're going
with a mix of spiderweb, pumpkin & witch cupcakes!). & lastly,
probably my favourite part, I GET TO CARVE A REAL PUMPKIN!
No amount of caps lock or exclamation points can adequately
display my excitement for this! It's going to be amazing.

Other than that, life itself is just kind of brilliant. The weathers
miserable, but Autumn's only just begun & the sidewalks are
already littered with leaves, the first hints of red, yellow & orange
showing on every tree. My first taste of a real Fall! I can't wait (:

That's all for now guys, it's late & I've been up since 6:30am. Got
some more studying to do anyway, I never thought I'd say this but
I'm actually really loving it. Even though it's a topic I thought would
be the death of me (neuroscience, eugh), it's proving to be more
interesting than I thought. Yay college! Lots of love, I miss you all,
promise I'll write more often, or at the very least, I'll try to!

Cheers guys, night night (:
