My 4th year of high school I came to America,
& for 10days lived with a family in Elk Grove, California.
Now, 3 years later, here I am again, and
working part-time for a family in the same suburb,
on the opposite side of the country.
What is it they say about coincidences?
So Monday was my first day with my 18 month old, Zoey.
Tuesday was my first day at Harper college.
& Wednesday was my first time trying about 5893058278
different types of American 'candy'. (And also the day I realised,
American high schools are just as vastly unorganised as Australian ones).
Who knows what tomorrow's gonna bring.
College is college, whatever country you're in.
(In all honesty, I'm not really fit to judge that,
but it was my first day, or more specifically,
my first 2hours, so I've nothing of any real interest to report).
& the 18 month old is well .. an 18 month old.
She mostly gets a mention because I have cute photos of her to upload (:
But more importantly, the CANDY.
(Big surprise that my focus is on this hey!)
After weeks of searching for the virtually extinct Mars Bars,
I was informed that Milky Ways here have caramel in them ..
So there's basically no difference between the two.
Very underwhelming.
BUT the American's have clearly adopted my theory
that M&M's can go with.. well.. pretty much anything
(flashback to the teen days of Cheese & M&M pizzas)
& they've really just gone wild with that idea.
I got one of each new type, which was obviously
for research purposes & not because I'm a fatty or anything (:
I think that's all my irrelevant updates for today,
Life is just well .. life.
Enjoy (:
