G'day All,
Well its time  to put letters to computer screen and yes i know it is nearly 2 weeks since we left, but the damn prices of internet in this country is stupid so am now back home and will again do the blog from the comfort of my room and i can sit back relax with out worry of time running out.

The alarm woke the birds and us  as it was set for 5am and it is still dark what a change from being light at 4am, Nancy crawled out of bed and had her shower while i lay in and had a snooze.
We were on the road by 6am and on the motor way got so far and we came to a dead stop and crawled for 30 minutes till we cleared the road workers who were suppose to have finished at 5am, i had allowed for this so was no big deal apart from the fact that as usual people were cutting in and creating a bigger problem then was suppose to be.

We went to the baggage drop and then head off to find breakfast and relax before the flight it will take us 2 and a half hours to fly to Hobart so plenty of time to relax in the sky and watch the clouds go past.

We boarded the plane and to our relief found it was only 2 seats each side and plenty of leg room   whoo hoo who said virgins were tight hey :). oh we are flying Virgin not Qantas this time the only difference was more leg room and no neck strain trying to see a 6inch video screen from 50 feet away and the food you had to buy.

The flight was good and soon we were landing at Hobart International terminal well we did cross an ocean to get here :) so they have the right to call their Airport and international one, deplaned  (and no not the de plane master de plane) it is a aeronautical term meaning get you bums off the seat so the next lot can get on.

We walked FROM the plane across the Tarmac shades of Egypt here, and thru the entrance doors to be confronted by the quarantine dog had bags sniffed and all clear and to the baggage claim area, picked up the bags and off to the car rental crowd Red Spot.

We were all about to go when the bloke behind the counter said ok that's a $3,000 excess on the car if u do any damage to it t all, and i said oh ok how come our paper work says nil excess so after a few phone calls and us putting the bags in the car we were sorted and allowed to leave the airport in a lovely Holden Epica, installed Jane and said take me to my hotel and away she went me as the steering component her as the brains to find where to go.

we arrived at the St Ives Motel and apartments  in due course settled into this nice unit kitchen dining lounge down stairs and 2 bedrooms and bathroom up stairs, found out we were within walking distance of the Famous Salamanca Markets so went down for a sticky beak and walk around  also discovered that the Lamb kebabs are rubbish full of fat :( so threw most of it away, after they closed we went for a walk around and discovered a lovely little area full of restaurants so decided to have Greek for dinner  and what a choice was fantastic lovely food and a few beers and back to the unit for a sleep as we are setting off to have a look around Hobart tomorrow.

Cheers every one see you tomorrow :)
