This is what I did during our week in Chennai.

We arrived at Auntie Bobo's house and she was very happy to see us. Aunty Bobo is my Grandma's sister and looks just like her! We chatted for a very long time and had lots of delicious homemade Indian meals which included chappatis, poppadums and curry, all my favourites!

The next day we went to the Sheraton Park hotel and had a plate of chips (our treat) while Dad watched the cricket as the Ashes were still on. Then we got to go to few shopping malls. There are some really new ones but we went to Spencer Plaza which has an Internet cafe.

On Friday we went to a beach which was about two hours away in a taxi, there were very violent waves and also there were people selling shells that were picked up from the sea-bed and the animals living inside would be stabbed and then pulled out of their homes so the shells could be sold in the shops which I think is just not right, so we did not buy the shells or visit their stalls as we felt it was not right.

Later we went for lunch at another beach which had a mysterious cave with a scull on the outside of it !
We went for a wander down the road and I bought a turtle pendant.
Then we walked down a little further and bought a hammock!

We then went to the crocadile park where there were loads of cool crocs, turtles, tortoises and also ............. SSSSSssssssnakes!

We had a day off and then on Sunday we went to Auntie Beena's (my mum's cousin) house and did a lot of drawing. We had a lovely meal of chicken biriani and Chicke 65 which we hadn't tried before. It was yummy! Then they took us to Saint Thomas's mount, the highest point in Chennai. We then went to Marina beach which is the widest, and one of the longest beaches in the world! On the way back we went to the shrine of Saint Paul the Hermit church in Ramapuram.
