So after a brilliant nights sleep in a comfy, comfy bed we get up and decide today we will spend the day as tourists with George and Jazz as our guides. The plan is to chuck us all in the Big Fella and drive to Birdling Flats which has a lovely pebble beach where mad Lizzy (their dog which I forgot to tell you about yesterday) can run around and burn off some energy. It is still bloody freezing so we borrow jumpers to keep us warm and wear our rain coats to keep those wild winds out.

The pebbles are so soft and smooth as we walk along with the waves lapping at our feet. Lizzy runs riot on the beach while Ben and Jazz take pictures. After here we head to Akaroa which is beautiful. There is a lovely pier, lots of boats and plenty of coffee shops so we stop off for lunch, take lots of pictures ad enjoy the sun when it decides to shine upon us.

On the way home we stop off to see some more English escapees (friends of George n Jazz) then head off home for ROAST BEEF & YORKSHIRE PUDDINGS which I simply cannot wait for.

A couple of their friends turn up with freshly caught fish which these lot enjoy before we move on to the roast dinner and George's home made Yorkshire puddings which we delicious only problem was there were just not enough!!!!

Later we sat down and watch a kiwi film 'once were warriors' based on a true story which is a must see as it the sequel which I have suddenly forgotten the name off; sorry.

To be continued . . . .
