We did very little on our last day here in KL. Ben set the alarm for 8am and I went nuts when we didn't have anything to get up for! We eventually went for breakfast at First Cup Café (it's outside BB Mall) and can recommend the French toast - but ask for plain bread unless you like currents; coffee is a bit strong but I am in need of a caffeine fix so it will have to do. We had a little wonder around BB Mall but soon got board, bought a few bits to restock our first aid kit and went back to room to pack. Why is that every time we repack these bloody bags they get heavier and heavier even though we haven't bought ought????? We got most of it sorted then decided we needed coffee & cake from Izzi (you really need to try these cakes) so we took the laptop and spent a bit of time uploading a few pics and checking email via the free wireless internet..

I really must mention the email we got from Leanne, it made our day as we sat undercover from the pouring rain, thunder & lightening. Leanne is a girl who I used to work with and we became really good friends (mostly shopping & getting pissed kind of friends which is what most of my friends are). Anyway she was laughing at me getting up at 6.30am and said she cannot believe I have ever seen two 6.30s in my day! Leanne used to be one of several people who would phone me early morning to get my arse out of bed to go to work and she suffered many of my hangovers sitting across from me; oh such happy days. Anyway Carol (my adopted mother - not really but I just call her that; she's ace) was on her way to work driving down the main road close to where she lives, when she thought she saw Pete (a co worker) and pulled over offering him a lift. She then realised it wasn't him, shouted out the window 'there will be a bus in five minutes' and drove off. This is so Carol and Leanne said she was white when she walked into the office (I'm still laughing about it now while writing it). Oh man I wish I had been there to see that I would have been rollin on the floor laughing my tits off (I know this means nothing to most of you as you don't know Carol, Leanne or the people I worked with but they were and still are really great friends and I miss them loads so its nice to here some things are still the same). Leanne also mentioned that the girls (my drinking/shopping girlfriends which are the best kind to have) are going to Blackpool (freezing cold sea side place in England or a Vagas Wannabe if you prefer) next weekend without little me and I am gutted. I have had so many amazing girls nights out over there; dressing in mad outfits and having so much fun - have ball girls get pissed and don't forget about me!!!

So as it is pissing it down again there is not a lot we can do. We had hoped to go back to the twin towers and get some more pics but the rain keeps coming and there has been some scary thunder bangs going on and bright flashes of lightening. Oh yeah almost forgot there is some big bankers conference going on in Singapore (our next port of call) and accommodation in scarce but its our own fault cause we were told this while we were in Borneo so we should have sorted it then but didn't. So we spent about 2hours on the web trying to find somewhere to stay. All backpacker places are full to bursting with only dorms left and we are still a bit unsure of these with all the things we have (not saying that all are bad but we also prefer our own privacy too). So we've settled for a hotel that has wireless internet that way I can get the website up to date before we fly to Oz.

Back at our room we finish packing the last bits and climb into bed for much needed sleep, tomorrow is going to be along day.

Overall KL has got to be one of the best cities in the world. There are a zillion things to do, some of which can be a bit expensive if you're on a tight budget, but if you have a few quid to spare then this is the place to spare it!

We loved the Petronas Twin Towers and hope you have had time to look a the pictures; we look like we have been super imposed on to some of them and we had so much fun taking them, all for free (well it cost us a few coffee's at Coffee Beans).

If you wanna shop this is the place to do it. Seriously if anyone knows about shopping it's me; I've shopped in the biggest cities all over the world and although it's a bit far to come all the way from England for just 4/5 days of shopping if you are going to Oz or New Zealand then it's well worth booking yourself a few days stop over here so make time; you wont regret it.

My fav thing in KL is the traffic lights and zebra crossings (as we call them in England). You may think I have finally lost the plot but they are so funny. When the light changes to red a count down begins from anywhere between 10 and 20 seconds which is the time you have to get across before the cars start zooming past again and this little green man just below the counting down numbers starts doing a walking motion, then half way through he starts running. I fell about laughing the first time I noticed it and Ben had to drag me out of the road before I got run over!!

Oh well time for something new.

To be continued. . . . .
