We have decided that we will take the train to Singapore on Sunday so we need to book our tickets and since we have to go to KL Sentral (yes it is spelt with an S) to book them we may as well spend the day at Sunway Pyramid/Lagoon.

We are late up today (9.30ish) so I get to have a lie in! We stop off for breakfast at One Cup Café (I think) then took the monorail from Bukit Bintang (the area we are staying in) to KL Sentral and book our train tickets to Singapore. Then we take a KTM Komuter Train to Subang Jaya (Port Klang train) and at the train station there is a bus which takes us directly to Sunway Pyramid/Lagoon; it stops on the highway and you walk over the bridge. Obviously it's built in the shape of a Pyramid and is a big shopping mall come Fun Park. At the back of the shopping mall is an ice skating rink and since Ben has never been ice skating we decide today will be his first time. Socks and gloves are compulsory so we have to buy gloves (we remembered to bring our socks); hire skates and off we go. Ben wasn't so sure at first but he was fine and within 20 minutes was doing all these fancy turns and trying to skate backwards!! He can roller blade and they say if you can roller blade then you can ice skate. I've been ice skating loads of times so I just skated around at my own pace while laughing at Ben when he got a bit too adventurous and fell over. We got told off for taking the camera on the ice so we took it in turns to stand at the edge and take pics which I will up load when I get a decent internet connection. After an hour or so we decide we've had enough, grab a quick bite to eat and go next door to the Lagoon which is a water/fun park.

We have some vouchers which we got at the tourist information office (it's worth a visit they are so helpful) so we get in a bit cheaper it cost about 4.50 each and is open from 11am till 6pm. It's about 2pm now so we get changed, find a locker and head off to get wet. It's about 90 degrees as we leave the shopping centre and as soon as we get in the wave pool it starts to rain but it doesn't matter cause we are gonna get wet anyway! We have goes on tube slides one of which was pitch black all the way down and then go over to the fun park bit and have goes on the log flume; getting soaked again, rapids and another thing but can't remember what it was called. If the sign says 'you will get wet on this ride' believe you will get drenched!! There's also a fairly decent sized roller coaster which we have a couple of goes on and a few rides which go round and round, needless to say I stay well clear of these! There is also a huge jungle bridge that you can walk across which is suspended above the water park but it is closed by the time we get round to it.

They have two huge tigers to look at from a distance behind a fence (obviously) and there is another big pool area, plus kids bit. They are extending it so it looks a bit like a building site in places but it will be pretty good when it's finished next year and we recommend it for a good day out.

I saw someone walking round with the same camera that we have just bought so we thought we'd try it out in the pool then if it don't work we can take it back before we leave. We laugh loads taking pictures of us under water in the pool (see pics) and we manage to get a pic on one of the water chutes (your not supposed to take cameras) before we decide we've had enough. So yes the camera is water proof and Ben can't wait to take it diving now.

We come back on a packed out train and an even more packed monorail. Stop off at the Green Man where we have Liver & Onions once again and this time I can definitely say the food was absolutely delicious so check it out when you are here and check out the website too; www.greenman.com.my; the Sunday roast with real Yorkshire Puds looks delicious (but we wont be here for lunch) as dose everything on the menu so we will be going back tomorrow for the last supper and recommend you check it out if you are I the area.

Its raining again so there is nothing we can do except walk round shopping malls and we've done enough of that so its home to bed.

To be continued. . . . .
