What was supposed to be a few quite drinks on our last night turned into a bit of another beer fest?
We met up with Sophie & Averill around 7pm and had our last coffee from Coffee Bean before walking across the road to lovely Little Italy. We had told them we were taking them to a little back street café called 'Tom young fat nee' (no idea where the name came from cause we are pretty sure it doesn't exist) so they were nicely surprised when we walked on to the patio part to the table we had booked (speaking of bookings this place is packed most nights and especially at weekends so recommend to book table to be on safe side). Anyway we all thoroughly enjoyed our pasta, garlic bread and drinks then decided it was finally time to drag ourselves down to a Karaoke bar this particular one being Hunters (not really recommended sure you could find a better one). The place was very quiet so we parked our bums on comfy seats in a corner out of the way. Sophie ordered cheap jugs of beer (the divers deal) and had to show her diving license!! The big red books were brought out and the singing began. Ben was gutted because they didn't have any half decent songs that he could sing but he did sing a few. All the songs were so high pitched and one guy did a great rendition of a 60s song; Only You, how he hit them high notes we will never know! Averill has a love soft gentle voice and sung a couple of songs too while Sophie & me (Rosey) spent a good hour going through the song book laughing our tits off at some of the names and song titles. We compiled a list of the best (believe me there were hundreds) so here they are:Bridge over trouble water - Somon Garfunked; Hold me trill me - Gloria Estefan; Groory kind of love - Pail Collin; Five (500) Jundred mies; All i wanna do - Sherry Crow; You lioght up my life - Leann Rimess; You pecorated my life - Kenny; A white sad of pale - Annie Lennox; Babby I'm a want you - He Bread; Colour of the wind - E/John; Cry - Faith Fill; When the light go on - Five; Bad Madacine - Bon Jovin; Tears from heaven - Eric Clipton; Against all oods - Pail Collin; Help your self - Tome Jons; Hoel California - Eagles; Rock DJ - Pobbie William; Wanted alive or alive - Bon Jovi; and a song titled 'I must have ben love'!!!!
When we got board of this we decided to walk round the corner to a club underneath the Hyatt Hotel (Shenanigans) its bloody expensive (10 quid for a jug of beer) but by now we really didn't care we were half way to getting pissed and didn't want to stop drinking. They had a band on called Emerge and Swerve (the band from Bed) was there too but having a night off getting pissed just like us.
The silly dancing started and I got a video clip (see pics) of Ben & Averill (they thought I was taking a picture) it was so funny and some Malaysian guy in a white shirt being taught how to dance on the dance floor and the Band posing for pics while I was filming. Anyway much more beer was drunk and this time it was Averill's turn to look after Sophie (though let me stress that SHE WAS NO WHERE NEAR AS PISSED AS HE WAS THE OTHER NIGHT!!) just dancing and enjoying and having a laugh - it was really nice being out with another girl, my kind of girl; Sophie would well fit in with the girls back home.
The band finished we left and said our goodbyes out side, they jumped in a taxi and we walked the short distance (Via 7=11, Burger King was again closed) home to bed.
Oh, almost forgot my Daddy phoned us today here at Tropicana Lodge to congratulate us on our diving achievements. It was really nice to here your voice Daddy even when you said I am 'getting old and should be thinking about settling down'!!! I know you want me to come home but I know you want me to be happy too and right now I am happier than I have been in a long time. I still love you x
To be continued. . . . .
Our last night was a blast.
