Today we are up at 8am and this place has gone mental. There are people sat out side our room door and we manage to squeeze our selves out for breakfast. The wedding party is big and people are still arriving. Didn't see the bride or groom don't think they'd arrived yet but everyone seemed happy enough and I wish I'd have taken some pics but didn't want to appear rude.

At 9.30am we set of for the ancient city of Polonnaruwa and its mid day by the time we get there. It's too bloody hot, no seriously it's mid 30s and feels like 50 degrees. There is not much to tell. Because of the Buddhist festival all the ruins were covered in flags which of course spoil the pics. We see the important bits; view the rest from the car and head for our next stop which is Sigiriya where we will spend another night.
