Hi there!
This one is almost a week late because I'm a lazy sod and have been somewhat busy with schoolwork and other things (side note: Halloween is in two days!).

Things to catch up on before launching into yet another trip: Selina, Chris, Ellen and I went to a cultural food and art type festival, Tucson meet yourself, and ate our way through several country's cuisines, breaking to check out the different stalls and various other attractions and shows.  I came very close to adopting a big Chihuahua that sounded like a dolphin when it tried to bark- who could get annoyed at that? So funny.
Kicking butt at school as per- that's no longer exciting to tell/ brag to you about haha.

Right, onto the cool stuff!  After a stressful afternoon of online midterm-taking, packing and food poisoning risking the pleasantness of a 2 hour shuttle ride to Phoenix Airport, I was on the way to Oswego, New York to see my awesome friend and next door neighbour from back home.  Flying late at night seems like a good idea, but it isn't really- don't fall for it!  Aimee and I pretty much tackled each other upon my arrival at her residence hall.. much catching up yada yada... Fast Forward to meeting the rest of her friends that were doing the birthday weekend trip to Toronto and lunch in an actual dining hall- let's just say I got very excited and ate lots of food.  We made the pre- road trip stop at Walmart before setting out for Toronto- without a map between our two cars it was an interesting time trying to find our way into the city once we got there!  Good adventure nonetheless!  Upon arrival we checked in and headed straight to the hostel bar for a night cap or four.  Next morning we found a cute cafe across the road for breakfast and headed to the CN tower to get an idea of the city before exploring it.  That tower has a glass floor that is many hundreds of metres higher than ours at the Sky Tower back home AND an outdoor observation deck.  After wandering around checking stuff out us girls spent a few hours in a mall, where Aimee and I got the most gorgeous woolen coats you've ever seen.
After showering at the hostel we gussied up and headed out for dinner and a night on the town... we accidentally ate at the same place we went earlier that day- luckily the food was good and the alcohol was plentiful!  Our plan of some serious legal partying wasn't entirely seen through- we had much difficulty finding places and got split up (with none of our phones working and no data between us it was a bit of a mission- reminded me of the 90's before cellphones were the norm haha) but it was still a good time despite the snags!
The next day we headed to Casa Loma only to find it cost $20 to get in, so after some posing outside we tried to convoy (again we split up with no avail) and I was dropped off near the Thomas Eaton Memorial Church to see an old friend, my choir conductor from Key Cygnetures, who now directs the Toronto Children's Chorus.  It was a bit of a miracle that we had contact enough to actually meet up!  After a lovely and very excited reunion and catch up (where I was laughed at for my vowels having shifted already) with Elise Bradley and Karen Grylls I sat in on the rehearsal (I was even introduced to the kids) and enjoyed while waiting to be picked up by the others.
Aimee and Panda popped their heads in the door and I said my goodbyes.  Outside the church I was told that we had no idea where the others were (we didn't see them again til Oswego), so Aimee and I went shopping for a little while near the hostel while we waited to hear from the others.
After a whirlwind trip to Canada -and a much shorter car ride home- we arrived back at Hart Hall just in time for bed.. At 12am, when Aimee was showering, a whole bunch of her friends came down to wish her a happy birthday- so we surprised her when she got back to the room.  The next day we ate and hung out until it was time for me to head to the airport.
Upon arriving at the airport, American Airlines called to tell me my flight was cancelled- long story with not many details but basically I couldn't get a flight back til the next day, was up from 1:45am my time to travel back still and missed all my classes! Oh well haha.
It was such a great trip and we had heaps of fun- I can't not with that girl and her friends were a hoot! Man I sound like an old lady when I talk sometimes...
Anyway not much happened following the trip other than family Skype dates and our unranked football team beating the national #9 ranked in the biggest upset so far this season! It was such an intense and lively game! USC has players that have already been drafted for the NFL and we beat them! Whoop! (As you can see I'm actually becoming an American College Student.)

Anyway time to get ready for bed as I doubt I'll be getting any sleep the rest of this week; Halloween is on Wednesday and on Friday I'm going on a road trip to LA for the weekend with Stewart, Ellen, Niall, Ricky and Daniel to see an NBA game!

Peace out xx
