We left Chippewa Falls Wi. this morning and drove through the Wisconsin countryside. It was sunny and beautiful as compared to yesterday's dark clouds and rain. From the radio we learned we missed a tornado and an earthquake here yesterday. How’s that for being in the right place at the right time! Apparently the tornado destroyed several barns and lifted a house off its foundation. We drove to Minneapolis and St. Paul to visit the Mall of America which is the largest mall in the USA. It has an indoor park with ferris wheel, roller coaster and many other rides. It has an aquarium , several theatres, as well as 520 stores. We walked around and checked out a few of the shops. We especially enjoyed the Lego store with its display of huge figures made entirely of Lego. We then drove south through the extensive corn fields and soy bean fields of Minnesota to Worthington where we again stopped at Walmart for the night.
