Genealogy
Much of our day was spent at the Oshkosh Public Library searching through their local history to find information about Rose's great grandfather who left New Boyne in Leeds County Ontario and settled here in 1865. We found some additional information that we did not have. We visited the cemetery where he and his family are buried. Picture were taken after some of the memorial markers were cleaned. Pictures were also taken of the church where the family worshiped.
We are back at a camp site again this evening as no over night parking is permitted in public parking lots here in Oshkosh. This gave us the advantage to get our laundry done as and to empty the tanks on the motor home. One must take advantage of such opportunities when they present themselves.
We were quite impressed with downtown Oshkosh. All of the street are clean and the properties are well kept. We did not see any neglect, graffiti, or run down properties. We encountered a lot of construction and things appear to be booming here in this part of Wisconsin.
