Then we went over to sister Barbara & Stan's for cocktails & a wonderful Bon Voyage dinner that Barbara prepared in Rolling Hills. Her son Mike was the BBQ chicken chef along with his daughter Charlotte
. Surprise, even friend Marlene was there! We had a great time touring the new wine cellar that Stan custom built. The 1,200 bottle capacity would be home for several of my friends and you know who you are! ;) I got to sample several wines. Thank you Barbara & Stan! Great seeing everyone. Needless to say, I got very little sleep back at Liz's.
I am now in the LAX Hawaiian Airlines Premiere Club lounge living the life of luxury, using their free wireless internet and enjoying continental breakfast before my flight to Honolulu. It is too bizarre that I will be in Hawaii is a few hours. I am going to have another coconut! Aloha!
Had a great flight to LAX with no problems. In fact, the plane was 30 minutes early. Finally got to see the Grand Canyon clearly from the air with lots of snow above the rims only. Awesome! Sister Liz picked me up at the airport and drove me to her El Segundo home where she made me an excellent Bloody Mary. She served High Tea with all of the trimmings (wonderful tea, homemade-right-out-of-the-oven scones, delicious cucumber sandwiches, deviled ham sandwiches and turkey, too! Thank you Liz! Then she let me drive her fun and powerful Lexus convertible (all of my luggage fit!) with her little dog Jaws, too. We played with Jaws at the doggy park and then had great Pink-Berry Passion fruit desserts.
