Just a bit of a reminder about the lovely Colonia, and some extra snaps to keep you happy!

The three of us spent a very relaxing day away from the hustle and bustle of BA. Colonia is a beautiful sleepy little town with very little traffic and no traffic lights... You can even hire a golf buggy to drive around town it´s so quiet! We did a spot of shopping (no!) and had a lovely lunch, but even covered in anti-mosquito stuff we all got eaten alive... And a word to the wise, either take a book for the 3 hour ferry ride (each way) or splash out and go on the fast one!

There is also a little shop that sells mate cups made out of a cow´s hoof should you ever feel the need... Mate (a kind of tea that we still haven´t tried!) seems to be taken very seriously by the Argentinians, to the point that wherever you go you see people carrying around their flask of hot water, bag of yerba mate individualised drinking vessel and the sort of perforated drinking straw that filters out the leaves as you drink it. Lots of places sell hot water for your flask (including road side stalls of the SKOL AGUA COCA variety) and yes we did see someone actually drinking from a cow´s hoof cup. Mmmmmm...
