Another nothing entry cos you can't put in empty ones any more.  Pasto might be a nice town, but we arrived late at night on a Sunday, so even finding a restauant that was open to get some dinner was tricky enough.  It also didn't help that it was cold and raining, though according to the guide books thats what Pasto is like all the time.  Maybe its not such a nice town after all!

On the plus side, it was probably our easiest border crossing yet, with our only difficulty being a ten minute delay while some Ecuadorian officials hoofed it across the bridge to check if Irish citizens need a visa to enter Colombia on account of one of them having lost the list which normally provides them with such information!

Anyway, in Pasto all we did was catch the last 3 minutes of the b-ball Finals, with the Lakers winning the series 4-1 in Orlando.  Afterwards, Jerry Buss' (the owner of the Lakers) sons collected the trophy and gave the interview/acceptance speach, thus highlighting, for me anyway, one of the less distinguished features of American sports.  Can you imagine if the county board president gave the speach in place of the All-Ireland winning captain?  Madness, absolute madness...
