This is trip number 1 out of Singapore with 18 other exchange students. Bintan is about a 45 minute ferry ride away from Singapore and is predominantly a resort destination for beach goers and golfers (there is even a Club Med!). However, the resort area is only on the north coast, our "resort" (you'll see what I mean...) was on the east coast - much less developed, a lot more Indonesian. Awesome.

Recently been there
Thats really a great place over there if you wanna get out of Singapore, have fun and relax. I'hv been there the 3rd time (last one was April 2008). Some huts has been taken away by the autumn storms, but he already replace them with new ones. There are some recent pictures on his http://www.lobo.kinemotion.de

Bintan is nice place to relax . this is my frist time to shady shack after me and all friends arrived frist think is we can fill all mosquito come to us and olso at night we can't sleep because dose fry, next morning we plan to go agro beach they have more activities and clean place.
