Bunda Cliffs Scenic Lookout - #672

Today we passed the vermin proof fence, commonly known as the dog fence.  It looks to still be maintained and we stopped at the grid where it crossed the road.   I had read a blog on people who lay underneath the grid whilst a road train drivers over it.  It seemed like a good idea at the time, so I lay underneath with Jasmin and Isabel on the edge of the grid.  We waited around 5 minutes before the first car came past.  We started the video and then got the fright of our lives as a high pitched zing ripped into us.  Jasmin and Isabel jumped and David decided he wouldn't wait for the next road train.

We visited the Head of Bight not expecting to see whales as we were too early in the season.  They arrive sometime in late May / early June and hang around until October.  Unfortunately they hadn't migrated early and no were to be seen, however the Bunda cliffs were impressive and we did manage to take some silly photos of people biting the cliffs.

We spent the night camping 150 metres from the edge of the Bunda cliffs and only 50km from the WA border.  It was a great Nullarbor experience with a near full moon.  Amazingly during the night there was drizzle / rain.
