Bali was a name of dreamland in my mind, I always wish I could go to Bali some day, and this dream came true.  The funny thing is, I knew Bali before, but I did not know Bali is in Indonesia.
All of our New Zealand EPs in Semarang decided to travel together.  The flight was only half an hour late, which was a shock, because people say that it is unusual for Indonesian flight to be on time.  It was an interesting flight, the wings are higher than seats, looks like a basket hanging under the wings.  We took the last photo in Semarang, and said goodbye to this place, where we worked and lived for six weeks.
The plane flys through a thin cloud, which you could see through, we passed many islands, mountains and see, no wonder Indonesia is called the Country of Islands.  When we landed, we were so excited that we were laughing and talked loudly because we finally came to this place with beautiful sunshine, amazing beaches and great artworks.
After settled down, we left for Kuta, the most famous beach in Indonesia.  I can speak the most Indonesian among us four, because of my previous work, so I became the one to bargin with taxi drivers.  It was funny that I just told them the place we want to go, with the amount of money we would like to spend, and add some random words I learned, and the deal was made.
Kuta area was crowded as what was said on the internet.  The beach was nice when see from far away, however we were disapointed when we got closer.  There is rubish everywhere, people come to you to ask you to go surfing or have a massage in a rude way.  Some men come into your photos on purpose.......however, the feel of getting your feet in the water and enjoying the sunshine was nice.
We had an ice cream each, and start shopping in Kuta area.  There are many stores sell different stuff, the price is always high, and you have to bargin for a long time before you make a deal. and the final price was always suprisingly less than a third of the first price.
We went back to the beach after shopping and just made the sunset.  It was amazing.  We arrived at the beach when the sun was still a little bit high and he sunshine still strong.  But shortly, it got down fast, got more rea and gentle, the sea went from bright to gold to red, brown, and dark blue.  We could not stop taking photos, would not help jumping and asking each other to see our works.
Our first day was awesome, and I am sure that tomorrow will give us another surprise.
