I drove from Napier to Whakatane - I collected my greenstone carvings today from Te Kaha; I stopped in Rotorua for my lunch and got to Te Kaha's just after 3pm.  The Hei Tiki is just better than I could have imagined.  My other carving is called Marakihau      and represents the God of the sea who is a protector.  See the photo's to understand, there's also one of me with Te Kaha and his little 5 month old daughter.

Te Kaha took me through the meanings of my Hei Tiki, which I have as an authenticity statement.

Re: what's a Hei Tiki
A Hei Tiki is as the photo shows is a greenstone carving, these have been carved by the Maori people for years and years, each one has a different meanings, I have a full description of what my one means - its 3 A4 pages long!
