Today we looked at the two most famous Parks in Barcelona - Park Guell designed by Antonio Gaudi and Parc de Montjuic which housed some of the Olympic events.

We bought a T10 public transport ticket which we can use together for 10 trips (5 each). We travelled to the parks by Metro Subway. We also used the ventricular train and bus at Parc de Montjuic.

We then went back to the old city at La Rambla for shopping and dinner.

Gaudi planned and directed the construction of the park from 1900 to 1914 for Eusebi Guell for a residential park intended for sixty single- family residences.

The project, however, was unsuccessful and the park became city property in 1923.

Though never fully completed, it still remains one of Gaudi's most colorful and playful works.

The Parc de Montjuïc is located in the Sants neighbourhood and it occupies a vast swathe of the imposing hill overlooking the port, offering a plethora of green areas and gardens, museums and cultural attractions, sports facilities and Olympic sites.
