Up at 7:45 am and ready at 9:00 am to head over to the Dingle Peninsula and the town of Dingle. The Dingle Peninsula is the westernmost tip of Ireland and has a ton of tourists all summer thru September making October a perfect time to visit. Had some rain showers on the 4 hour drive but the sun came out as we crossed onto the Peninsula.
On the way to Dingle we were in need of a restroom stop and a quick meal both fulfilled by a place with an Irish Name -- McDonald’s! Arrived at our lodging for the next 3 nights “Eileen Collins Kirray B&B” . Eileen is a very grandmotherly type of person who will be watching over us during our stay
We couldn’t decide between Pub Food or freshly caught fish for supper. Luckily we found the Marina Inn across from the Harbor which covered both our criteria. Bonnie & Terry tried the stout made in Cork Ron and I tried a pint of the Bulmer’s cider. We had seen the fermenting plant yesterday and thought it would be worth a try. It was OK but we’ll take the beer the next time!
