11-12-06
We landed in Buenos Aires and took a taxi to the Milhouse Hostel, on our way we got our first shock! The driver was crazy!!! He drove 140 km/h, he had never heard about signal lights and if there was a car infront of him, it didn't matter to him cause he'll just push the car to the side... Thats how we did a little accident when he kissed the car infront, but I guess it was OK cause they both continue driving... CRAZY people!
The hostel we are staying is very nice there are people there all over the world and it is fun to talk to them... but there are two bad things:
1. there is no air conditioning... and it is 30ºC outside... so in the morning we woke up in a sweat pool...
2. I was told that this trip is about freedom, so what it suposed to be this bags jail?!
so when we first got there I met my cousin Ben there it was cool! (Ben I've missed you :)) and we met an Australian jewish guy named Mark really interesting crazy guy and we all went to eat.... STEAKS...
I have to say sorry to all the cows and the pigs and the chickens in the world - I promise to stop eating you after the trip!!!

We went to the Ricoletta area to the hertzelia pituach of the dead! Every dead person there lives in his own villa so I think now that all the rich people have a goal in life.
Then we walked sweating and sticky to the Palermo Gardens. It was amazing but I think we got dehydrated and this is the consiquences.
In the evening we went out with 7 Brazilians and one Italian girl to the docks. It was one of the more interesting evenings we´ve had. We had to try and communicate in 4 different languages (including sign language).
13-12-06
We started our first Spanish lesson in a group of 5 people- Keren, Arnon, Jenny the australian, Jon the british guy and myself. It was really funny to hear the british guy try to speak spanish, we could hardly understand his English! His spanish sounded something like this- ¨Hola. Como te shamashamash?¨ But its going well and we are learning alot.
In the evening, we went to a Tango show at ¨Cafe Tortoni¨ with Rotem. It was an interesting experience, we walked in the the basement of the restaraunt and the tango show had singing dancing and even a crazy drumming part with Indians.
14-12-06
We went to see the protest of the mothers of people who dissapeared in the ¨Dirty war¨, it happens every thursday at 15:30 for the past 30 years at Plaza de Mayo. In the evening, after we had a couple of drinks (some wine, beer and vodka) we went to a night club called ¨Lost¨. The club was designed very differently than clubs in Israel. It was very fun but the music was hip hop and no matter where you are in the world, hip hop sucks. In the club there were lights that when you looked at them and turned your head, you could either see a camel or a dancing woman! Then Keren and I took a cab back to the mastulim hostel, and just as the cab pulled over to let us out, a kid stood by the car and wouldnt leave. Since we were scared, we asked the driver to go around the other way and drop us off there.
16-12-06
We went to the market in Ricoletta, an amazing arts and crafts market. It was nice seeing different things, rather than that usual stuff at Nachalat Ben Yamin in Tel Aviv. After that we went to an art museum which was very different than other art museums i´ve been to because other that the classic art (Picasso, Monet and Van Gough) they had modern art that was very colorful and interesting. In the evening we went out to eat in ¨Santa Fe 3666¨which is an all you can eat restaraunt (Tenedor Libre). They had all the food you can imagine- pasta, pizza, empanadas, seafood and of course- lots of CARNE. I must say that the meat was not as good as other places, especially when you see a pork leg being sliced in front of you. But other than that, all the courses were good and we had free drinks including alchohol. So needless to say, we had a good time.

First time that we took the bus alone! It wasnt easy but we did very well. We went to the La Boca area which is a very poor part of Buenos Aires but the most colorful. They have tango shows in the street, music, and lots of cafes. Then we took the bus to San Telmo, to a very big street market. In the market there was a guy that made neckleces from nuts that he fills with beads. I got one.
18-12-06
We got tickets to Ushuaia which is really good because we thought we wouldnt find one and we even got a decent price. We even managed to order lunch in fluent spanish, which made us feel very good.
Next you will hear from me at the end of the world, in Ushuaia. Happy Happy!
