Where I stayed
I went on holiday to Malta to get away from the lovely rain in the UK. But my luck wasn't with me as it rained most of the visit lol. I did enjoy Malta as a whole and would recommend people to visit this island there is much to see and even has the famous popeye village (used in the film). There are lots of beaches and the locals were friendly, the bus service is supposed to be cheap and good (i hired a car) but the driving style over there is something to be admired, i dont think they need to take a driving lesson or test to get a licence. The hotel we stayed in was not too bad but the locals know it as Fawlty Towers (no need to explain to the brits) it had its own pool and a nice bar. the reception was ok once you finally found your room, there was access for wheelchairs and the lifts worked. the rooms were large enough but the bathrooms need more space and they were air conditioned. we had a balcony you could sit on and had sea views. The catacoombes are worth a visit and most places you go there is a lot of history to see there is a fort called Rinella at Kalkara where during the day they have a re-enacment on and some people can fire a fieldgun (canon) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Rinella
