Day 5 - Shopping in Buenos Aires

Jose: The day started off well, we found out that we could stay at our hostel, just in a different room, (pictures attached). In the room there was a sign under the fan that said "Please, turn off the fun before you leave the room." We didn't listen, but at least we turned off the fan on our way out. After leaving the hostel we headed towards Florida street to do some more shopping...Andrea's orders...and as we got to Florida street down came the rain and washed the Americans out...We ran into a café to put on our new cool ponchos (Thank you mom) and to our amazement we were the only ones walking around with bright red and green ponchos...go figure.

Thank God the rain finally stopped. Andrea decided on a leather jacket of her own, they told us it would be ready that night at about 9pm...which of coarse it wasn't...well it was but it had the zipper of the wrong color so we told them we needed it fixed, I told them I needed it before 11am since we were getting on a plane at 1pm, Andrea kept telling me in English that it was OK that she would take it like that even though she didn't like it, I knowing better told them that it needed to be fixed and we argued for a little bit but they finally came around. She also acquired a nice pair of shoes to go with her amazing jacket (she reminds me of Alicia Silverstone in the Areosmith videos). We also ended up going crazy in this one store Johnsons, I got 2 new suits and andrea and I each got a wool coat for SUPA CHEAP!!!

After completing the shopping portion of the day which was quite loooooong, we headed over to the local chess/pool bar and played a few games with a couple of local Argentineans, they kicked my ass quite quickly and so after watching a couple great games and losing several I decided to call it a day... After attempting to pick up her jacket we headed to where else but "El Desnivel" for some amazing beef. We also got to taste Tongue which tasted like pork with a twist...Andrea did not find the taste buds amusing but she did try it(pictures attached).

After dinner we decided to hit up the local Casino to play some international Hold'em but after paying 15 pesos to get there we found out that there was no Hold'em tables so I decided to play black jack...BAD IDEA...after about an hour I was 500 pesos in the hole and decided to put my tail between my legs and leave, which unfortunately was the end of our night.
