After all day cycling we are getting very hungry so we are trying to find some place to withdraw the money but... Italian ATM just do not accept our card. After one hour of trying all bank links of Trieste we are giving up and we go directly to the restaurant. Fortunately one of the waiters speaks French - by the way in Italy its much easier to find somebody who speaks French than English, so my dear STUDY LANGUAGES
! - we explain our situation and he lets us pay first and our card works and we can have our dinneeeeeeeeeeer! The pizza is delicious and after eating and drinking we are so tired... especially Alena who is experiencing a moment close to hibernation and she just cant move. So Alena is taking well needed nap and Romain is FINALLY fixing the roof window. Well now its not a roof window but shoe/maybe foot cleaner pad in the function of the roof window. However, it works perfectly, Romain is genius! (see the pics). Tonight there is an evening of free music and we straight away understand why it is free... The band plays very strange, well its very hard to define the style, ghost hunting new age pop rock... so we listen for a few minutes, observing the only dancer who is able to dance on such kind of music and everybody is taking pictures of her. Having finished our glass of wine we are leaving Trieste, heading to Slovenia.
On the highway we are having our 4th puncture of this trip. This time pure explosion, the whole wheel (not just the inner tube) is completely destroyed. Escorted by the policemen we are slowly rolling to the nearest petrol station, we use our only reserve, buy a lot of chocolate to calm down and we continue to Slovenia, finding the place to stay for the night in Razdrto, good night...
In short, VERY HOT from the early morning... after nearly suffocating in the truck we are having breakfast at the parking and we are going for a cycle around Trieste. Without having a detailed map we are going somewhere and... we are finding all most important spots of this city. First we see the ruins of Old Roman Theatre, after San Giusto Cathedral and castle, gardens we don not know the names of... for more info see http://www.karlonia.com/2009/05/16/trieste-italy-places-of-interest/ or go there.
