Today we were in Sidney Nova Scotia went a tour of Beddick hometown of Alexander Graham Bell inventor of the telephone. He actually improved on the airplane designing one himself. Thru out his life he invented a hydroplane and a prelude to a snowmobile. He spent most of his life teaching the deaf, his own mother was deaf. He meet a wealthy deaf girl he was teaching he fell in love with her, said he was poor and he wanted to impress her was the reason
He invented the phone. As a wedding present he gave her half interest in the telephone company. He died from diabetes at 75, she died 6 months later of pancreatic cancer, they spent 37 years in Beddick a very nice place to live. has only 700 people in winter and 2500 in the summer. We spent time in the museum about his life, in it were the plane and hydroplane. Over the years he became good friends with Helen Keller. He built his home here with 37 rooms. His great grandson still lives in the house, sometimes he comes to the museum, our driver says he is a clone of his great grand father, spooks people out.
