Charlottstown, Prince Edward Islas known as PEI is a very friendly beautiful place, at every stop the owner or a representative met us on the bus to welcome us, The island is 47 miles long 8 miles wide, about 145000 people. Has lots of trees in color, sand dunes, rocky shores, mussel and clam beds. Our driver Pieere was a comedian and a accordion player. Our
Tour guide was a retired RN, so that can be a second career for nurses. The islands most famous person was Lucy Maude Montgomery writer who wrote the Anne of Green Gables, Her mom died yoiung she lived with her very strict maternal grandmother and grandfather who were
Very strict, to escape she made up Anne and wrote about her great adventures., She often visited her neighbors who owned Green gables farm she visited often. We visited her home and the farm and saw her grave . She was born in 1876 died 1942, she really didn't become famous till she died, We met o e of her double cousins as she was related to her thru her mom and dad.
We stopped at a place whereupon Susie dressed as Annie and I took her picture. Also at a tshirt, ice cream, chocolate factory my favorite stop.
