In Moorcroft we went to the pancake breakfast, parade and barbecue. We hadnt been in 14 years. my cousin Eddie on my grandfathers side, and my cousin Pat and her mother Alta joined us for the parade. After the parade the town put on a free barbecue. My cousins Husband had passed a few days before the parade, his two teenage daughters rode there horses, towing there dads riderless horse as a tribute to thier dad. There dad would be very proud of them for doing that for him. After parade we stopped at cousin Clairine visited with her mom and dad Raymond and Helen, her sister Darlene her two girls Darlene and Brittney, and Clairines husband Hoss.
After leaving thier place passing under the underpass on I-90 A Friend of mine Pete and his wife Patti recognized our ride and the boxes from facebook, he raced up the interstate 9 miles to the cutacross road with the old highway and surprised us with a surprise meeting. They are from Chadron Nebraska and were comimg to the reunion also.
That evening we attended classes of 65 to 75 reunion. The night previous my class of 72 met at the Eagles in Gillette for our get together. On Saturday night at the all school reunion they had an Elvis personator and his dog dressed as Elvis. The dog had a cape on and wore Elvis glasses, we had seen alot of Elvis impersonators but he was the best we ever saw. He gave Susie a scarf and sang to her, which made her day. He had me play the air piano to Jerry lee Lewis great balls of fire. We were going to stay till 9pp but stayed till 1130p.
It was a really good time seeing people I had'nt see in 30 to 40 years.
Next day we took off for Yellowstone staying at fishing bridge. Saw 6 cow elk close up . than a herd of 60 or so in the distance. at least 300- 400 buffalo between Yellowstone and Jackson. Not one bear tho, in the past would see a least a couple bear. It rained a lot in Yellowstone , but as we were passing the Tetons near Jackson the clouds opened up and saw them clearly.
