Nothing to see here...
The usual transit day, punctuated early in the morning by waking up very late. Lucky our housesitter had moved in the night before and she gets up early for work.
Roodles gave a bark when she got up and that was our alarm, only an hour later than we intended! Somehow I had set the alarm on my phone for another day. Had our housesitter Renee gotten up any later we would not have been on the plane out of Canberra.
J-she took it pretty well and we made it to the airport in my preferred timeliness...10 minutes before boarding :-)

Sydney airport was the same crap hole it always is, however we noted they've fmoved into the 21st Century as there is now free wi-fi...finally. To recover this cost though they've now doubled the price of a baggage trolley from $2 to $4 , I heard many complaints in passing about this little number.
Sydney airport, the crappiest most expensive airport in the world...still.

Despite our dislike of monkeys I have a monkey neck roll and he makes everyone happy including other passengers. Who doesn't like monkeys hey?

AirAsia to KL sweet as usual, and free baggage trolleys too, we made our hot and humid way to the tiny boxes referred to as rooms at the Tune Hotel.

We like KL and have transited so often through there now it feels almost like coming home. The hot sticky heat in the airport forecourt, the heavy smog of endless traffic, the chaos of people everywhere heading to numerous destinations and the array of enticing airport food somewhat different from the usual Western crap. Even at inflated airport prices the stuff at KL - LCCT is cheap. Funny feeling when some far off airport feels more 'domestic' to you than that shithole Sydney International.

We checked into our box and returned to the airport for dinner. For some abstract reason (it's hard to be thoughtful in the fog of the evening heat in KL) we went to another diner instead of our preferred 'Passage Thru India', I think it was the big sign which said 'Chicken Rice' which distracted me, I LOOVE chicken rice. Once inside though I further deferred to a fish ball noodle soup, see how it's hard to keep a single train of thought in this muggy squeeze !

We passed by Passage Thru India, partly out of guilt, and J-she ordered a mango lassi. The attendant was whizzing up the ingredients when the blender began to ooze the contents violently from the bottom of the blender, he proceeded to hold the blender jug over another and allowed it to all drizzle from the bottom before he served up this concoction of bearing grease, shattered plastic and god-knows-what to J-she. "Should I be drinking this?" she asked as she crunched on something she'd sucked up. "Probably not" I suggested. We turfed the lassi in the bin.
Bed early'ish after a short panic about catching a bus from PP to Kampot tomorrow...but nothing we can do from here in our little box, lets wait until we hit the ground in PP tomorrow and we'll sort it.
Nothing more to see here....transit day.
