We had planned to go back to Cabo San Lucas today to take a boat ride, but decided to take a "day off" and do nothing today. lol. We did walk to the bank and to Mega (it seems we're there every day), and we went to San Jose for supper, but otherwise we just read and snoozed and played cards. Ahhh, this is the life.

Today we got moving a little earlier (left the condo at 11 ... LOL), and headed to Cabo San Lucas. When we got there, we hunted down a "Mailboxes Cabo" store to try to buy a mailing tube for a print we bought at the farmers market ... so as to not damage it on the return trip.
Then we headed to the marina to find Roberta, a fellow we had met at Dock E last Friday, and who we promised to take our boat ride with. Roberta wasn't there, but Rojerio (Roger in English ... lol) was there from the same company and we hired him to be our captain ($10 US each). We were the only ones in the boat other than Rojerio and his helper Manuel. Rojerio was very cool. He showed us all the sights and talked about his family, showing us a picture of his little girl on his cellphone and drinking Mexican water (beer) ... eeek.
The main sight is El Arco or "The Arch" - the symbol of Cabo. It has been formed by the waves that crash on the southern tip of the Baja. Near it are Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach - a stretch of beach that runs between the rocks and is on the Sea of Cortez on one end (Lovers) and the Pacific Ocean (Divorce) on the other. This is the only place in the world where one beach is on two different bodies of water. It's pretty cool to see the dark blue of the Pacific Ocean right across from the emerald green of the Sea of Cortez. This area is also called "Land’s End", as it is the extreme bottom end of the Baja. Rojerio also showed us the Scooby Doo rock, the sea lions on the rocks, the Pacific Window, the Baja Rock, and some colorful fish at Pelicans Rock.
Rojerio dropped us at Lovers Beach and said he would pick us up whenever we wanted ... and he did. This is the standard procedure for these Arch tours. Rojerio said they are sure to come back and get you so that they can get their tip. ;o)
Roger's gout was acting up today (too much beer combined with the long walk down the beach on Sunday), so after a bite to eat when the boat ride was done, we headed home.

ahhhhhhhh Rojerio does look like a cool dude ;o) Love the pic of you & Roger. It's a keeper. The boat ride would be my thing too. I love being on the water. Do the sea lions really bark??

Yup, they sure do bark.
I like the picture of us too ... I got brave on the return trip and didn't wear my life jacket .... oooo, living life on the edge!
