This morning, we walked to the English book store to buy a few books, as I read the only one in the condo and forgot mine at home.  Didn't have the ones I was looking for, but I bought one.  When we came home, we stopped at the condo office, only to find they have a little library of loaner books there.  Doh!

This afternoon, we took the Urbano (local bus) to the old town centre. 7 pesos each, or ~60 cents.  Quick ride (maybe 15 min with multiple stops).  We went to the town square to see the old mission first, then wandered around town.  I expected more in the line of historic buildings so was disappointed.  We popped into a few shops, but I'd forgotten how much I don't like shopping in Mexico.  I hate that there are no prices, and you can't look at anything without being jumped on by the vendor.  So we went to the local rooftop bar!  It's called Shooters, and is actually owned by Canadians and has Calgary Flames stuff everywhere.  From 9 am - 4 pm, beer is only 10 pesos! (less than a dollar) ... but limit one per person.  Good old Canadians!  Roger got two Pacifico for 10 pesos each since I was just drinking lemonado.  We had some appetizers (guacamole and chips, and brushetta) and talked to two young couples from Denver who were sitting beside us.

After killing a good part of the afternoon there, we headed out in search of the Mercado Publico (local market), which is away from the touristy area and where the locals shop for fruits, vegetables, fresh fish, etc.  Pretty long walk uphill, but we finally found it.  I bought a Mexican plate from a really nice young lady who had prices on all her items and didn't harrass me.  Because she was so nice, I didn't haggle at all.

We had planned to stay in town and have supper, but it was only 4:30 and we were both bushed.  So we jumped on the Urbano and headed home.  We will go back a few times before we leave.
