Where I stayed
Orangeland RV Park
36 degrees today, and we had tickets for the Angels afternoon game. Talk about your fricasee. Our RV park is "less than a mile" from the Angels' Stadium, so we walked over - pretty toasty. As luck would have it, the "Will call" window was on the exact opposite side of the stadium, so add about another mile. Would it have been bad to take a taxi from one side of the ballpark to the other?
We had great tickets 21 rows up from field level, about half way into right field and, most importantly, in the shade! :o) Despite that, when I went to the washroom partway thru the game, it appeared I had a sunburn. Can you get a sunburn in the shade? I think so, but maybe it was from the walk over. (yes, I used sunscreen, all you mothers out there)
The Angels lost, and it was a pretty boring game (no homeruns, spitting managers, or anthing nearly that exciting), other than:
-- the line drive back at the Angels' pitcher which he caught just before it clocked him in the head (knocked right on his butt and he didn't get up for a few counts);
-- Angels' left fielder Abreu throwing tfrom field to first base for a perfect tag out; and best of all ...
-- the Rally Monkey. He was hilarious. Maybe you had to be there.
After the one (or two) mile walk back to Orangeland, it was straight to the pool (yes, two "Roganna in swimsuits" sightings in as many days). No pictures this time, cuz Eva linked my last one to Facebook. grrr
Did I mention we went to Camping World last nite? It's like IKEA for campers!!! We got patio lights (hey camping buddies, you must be excited for me? They're not the old school ones, but pretty cool anyway), and Roger got a Rhino sewer dumping set for when you're at a site for a few days. He's pretty excited too.
Well, that 's about it for today. San Diego, here we come.

You can indeed get a sunburn in the shade. It happens to me every summer :(
