Where I stayed
We arrived to a big warm sunny day and within an hour or so, it was cold and raining... Sounds like another city we love... The guide who collected us from the airport said we should dress for four seasons each day and be prepared for rain at any time... We know this story.
Quito is quite a gorgeous big city with mountains so much like Cairns all around- but these mountains are fully huge! There are buildings up the slopes and some palatial looking houses too. We will do some exploring tomorrow, so I will share some I images then.
We have again done three countries in one day - Brazil, Peru and now Ecuador. We flew over the Andes!,, check this out for snow capped peaks!

I can't believe it is day 20 already ... it seemed like you were going to be away for so long ... but the time is flying even with my "missing you" feeling when I go to pick up the phone ...
Hear me loudly object to counting and saying it is going quickly! It is actually only day 16 and it feels like we have been away for ages! I do love the sentiment though, grlfren...
Not sure how it happened that I missed the last two 'chapters' but it has meant I get to read three of your exciting adventures in one go. You know how it sometimes feels to be obliged to look at someones holiday snaps and make the appropriate Oohs and Aahs - well, I can't wait to see yours. Now, about that there furry aminal in the tree photo - I must need new glasses! Robyn, thank you for taking the time to share your holiday with us/me, it is a pleasure to read your posts! janet and Peter. (Peter says more local drinks recipes would be appreciated!)
Thanks for the feedback. I hope I'm not driving people crazy but I am loving writing about my adventures. I have been away from connectivity so this afternoon has been catch up time, so well spotted you!!
It hasn't rained in Melbourne for months (if that is the city you were referring to, or am I just paranoid?!)... :)
Ahhh it's entries not days .... Well that explains my look of confusion as I tried to add up!
