Feeling a tad seedy after our Czech beer hall crawl last night so had a sleep in until about 9am then farted around having breakfast and trying to get the wifi to work on Jeff's laptop (still no success).

Finally left around 1pm and had a browse along some other shopping streets before meeting Amanda at the National Theatre for the Nutcracker. Really beautiful theatre inside but outside unfortunately covered by scaffolding. Ballet was "A Christmas Carol" meets "The Nutcracker". Interesting concept! Definitely enjoyed the second half better as it was more Nutcracker specific music & dancing, and far less bad UK pantomiming.

Took Amanda back to the cafe we had cake at yesterday for a warm up and a snack. Visited the Wenceslas square markets and saw yet another impressive Christmas tree. Also amazed by a fire juggler performing in this square.  The act was good, but the really amazing part was he was doing his act with no shirt on!  Hardly slip, slop, slap weather here in Prague.

After a comfort stop at our hotel to change my shoes and drop off shopping it was back to the old town square to join our ghost walking tour (though first had to avoid losing eye to fireworks being set off by crazy Yugoslavian football fanatics). Ghost tour was ok with lots of stories of people being bricked into walls or beheaded on their wedding nights for not waiting for their Turkish prince to come back.

Very cold and getting late so we trundled off to a local restaurant which had been recommended by Amanda’s hosts. Took “a while” to get our meals but it was worth the wait as had the best lasagna of my life here!
