I accomplished my first flight on the A380 flying from Hong Kong to Singapore. The journey itself was very smooth – in fact you could hardly hear the 4 huge Rolls-Royce engines.

Singapore Airlines have the UK Top 10 singles from 1960-2000 on their entertainment system which meant nearly 4 hours of listening to Shakin Stevens, Bananarama and of course Chesney Hawkes!

Following the flight, I too a 30 minute taxi ride from Changi airport to Orchard Road where my hotel is situated. A quick dumping of bags and I was off out to watch the football (Bolton vs Everton and Liverpool vs Man Utd) at a nearby Irish bar called Mulligan's. Unfortunately, the bar (as per the rest of world no doubt) decided to show the Liverpool vs Man Utd game in preference to the Bolton game - shocking! I had Michael and Nolan providing timely text updates - great result in the end.

The bar featured a guest 'star appearance’ from Sky’s own Phil Thompson. Phil (we are now buddies as per the picture!) was very relaxed and an all-round decent bloke despite the heckles from the Arsenal and Doncaster Rovers fans I became acquainted with!

I won a Phil Thompson signed t-shirt for providing an incorrect answer to a Liverpool related question (!) and then gave it away to a 'die-hard' Liverpool fan. I don't think Phil was offended too much - he was still celebrating Liverpool's win.

After far too many beers – it is time for bed. Up early for another bus tour in the morning, before I meet up with Lingfei (Kewill’s Asia Pacific Marketing Manager) for an expert native tour.
